Project HeArt Launch with Nine Elms Arts Ministry

In December 2024, Joydeco was honoured to contribute to the launch of Project HeArt, an inspiring community initiative led by Nine Elms Arts Ministry.

The project celebrated creativity, connection, and the power of art to bring people together — welcoming over 3,000 visitors at the stunning Art’otel, Battersea Power Station.

The event opened with a beautiful ceremony led by Nine Elms Arts Ministry pioneer Betsy Bletchley, accompanied by artist Alexa Muen and the uplifting harmonies of the Battersea Power Station Choir singing Christmas carols. The focus of the launch project was clear: to create space for hearts to open, connect, and celebrate shared creativity during the festive season.

Our Creative Response

At Joydeco, we approach every project as a creative partnership. We take time to truly understand the message behind each event, ensuring that our designs are not only visually striking but also emotionally resonant.

For the Project HeArt launch, we were inspired by the project’s central themes of connection, heart, and community. To reflect this, we designed and installed a tailored organic balloon sculpture, featuring a rich palette of reds, burgundy, and gold, with heart-shaped balloon details woven throughout the installation. The piece was crowned with a large heart balloon, symbolising love and unity.

Every element of the design was carefully considered to complement the space and the spirit of the occasion — while also reflecting our commitment to sustainability through the use of biodegradable latex balloons.

The Symbolic Opening Moment

The event was marked by a powerful symbolic gesture: the release of a single large heart-shaped balloon, representing the invitation to “let our hearts open and connect.” This simple but meaningful act echoed the purpose of the project — to inspire openness, unity, and shared celebration.
